One of the Policies of the Flood Insurance Plan | haveyouseensicko ...

It is common knowledge that you must be ready for flooding. Once you decided to get a flood insurance program, you would be given two options that would depend entirely on the place where you live and the history of flooding in the area. The Florida Truckers Insurance company offers these two options in their flood insurance plan. If your house is located in a place that is a member of the National Flood Insurance Program or NFIP, then your home and your possessions are covered by the standard flood insurance policy.

The NFIP was established by the Federal Government to help communities that participates voluntarily in the NFIP by using and enforcing floodplain management ordinances so that floods would be reduced in the future. A flood is considered a flood when the waters cover at least two acres or affect at least two properties. You have to apply for contents coverage and building coverage separately if you want to have a standard flood insurance policy.
